Our expertly-crafted confection creations are already known to bring a sunny disposition to customers. Now, thanks to a new initiative at Nassau Candy, in addition to the sunny dispositions we generate, we’ll also be generating sustainable power from the sun. Nassau Candy is going solar. We’re proud to share our story leading into Solar Appreciation Day Friday, March 12.
As a family-owned business, it’s important to Nassau Candy to reduce our carbon footprint and lessen our impact on the environment, helping to preserve the planet for future generations. We faced some challenges to make this goal a reality. One of our biggest hurdles came about while assessing the amount of energy required for some of our manufacturing processes. Why Your Customers Want These 5 Drinkware Products
Single-use plastic bottles and paper cups are going the way of the plastic bag. A new law enacted in Berkeley, California that goes into effect in January 2020 will require businesses to add a 25-cent charge for single-use paper cups. The law is intended to help reduce waste. With 120 billion paper and styrofoam cups thrown away in the US each year, measures such as this have the potential to make a major impact on spreading awareness about waste and its effect on our environment. California is typically a trailblazer for laws of this type, so we can anticipate similar laws in other cities and states.
