Forget Valentine’s – February is for food lovers! There are SO many other ways to celebrate our love of food beyond handing out candy on Valentine’s Day.
Whether you’re a chocolate lover, pizza lover, or something in between, here are our favorite food celebrations sure to heat things up this chilly February.
Month Long Holidays
Some of us don’t want to be restricted to a one day celebration. Food months gives you the flexibility to celebrate every day, or only some. Whatever way you decide to celebrate they’ll sure be tasty.
Chocolate Lovers Month

Being a manufacturer of chocolate, Chocolate Lovers Month is one of our favorite holidays. It’s also a great time to try chocolate creations that are beloved, but not as mainstream.
Like Nassau Candy’s Dark Chocolate Haystacks, heaps of coconut coated in our premium dark chocolate. OR keeping with the tropical chocolate theme, Nassau Candy Milk Chocolate Half Dipped Pineapples are a great way to celebrate too!
Snack Food Month

Snacking has really become the new meal, so use Snack Food Month to explore the variety of better for you snacks now available.
Like Dang Sticky Rice Chips. Inspired by Thai street food, Dang Sticky Rice Chips have a savory flavor from sesame seeds and coconut milk with a hint of tangy watermelon juice all at 30% fewer calories than chips while being gluten free.
For the extra adventurous, there’s Crunchsters Tangy Balsamic Mung Beans. A vegan source of protein with a delightful crunch, Crunchsters are great out of the bag or as a sprinkle on some snacking avocado toast.
February 1 – Dark Chocolate Day

Winter weather and no Valentine’s plans can set a dark mood. Lean into that dark side by celebrating Dark Chocolate Day.
Dark Chocolate Day is all about treating yourself to the tangy, rich taste of anything dark chocolate. Lighten the mood with a dash of sprinkles found on creamy, crunchy Nassau Candy Dark Chocolate Nonpareils.
Feeling a little more elegant? Shimmering sea salt sprinkled on Nassau Candy’s Bestselling Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels will fulfill your fancy dark chocolate fanta-SEA.
February 5 – Nutella Day
Today is the day to cherish the cocoa hazelnut creation we’re all nuts for. Celebrating is easy, simply grab a Nutella & Go pack full of breadsticks and dunk into the accompanying creamy cocoa hazelnut spread.
Major Nutella fans might want to opt for grabbing a larger jar and start whipping of chocolate hazelnut creations.

February 9 – Pizza Day

Come on aficiona-DOUGHS! Show your love for our favorite sauce and cheese topped creation.
Don’t limit yourself to savory – efruitti Gummy Pizza with its ultra-detailed gummies that look like a slice of pizza with the works is an a-DOUGH-able way to spend the day.
You can go savory too, but make it more portable with the bold flavors and crispy crunch of Combos Pepperoni Pizza Baked Cracker Snacks.
February 11 – Peppermint Pattie Day
There’s not too much encourage-MINT needed to want to enjoy cool, refreshing peppermint patties.
You CAN add the excite-MINT though by indulging in a premium version made with the finest dark chocolate and peppermint like in Nassau Candy Peppermint Patties.
If plan is to enjoy while chillin’ and watching your favorite streaming series, then grab a theater box of Junior Mints for an in-theater experience at home!

February 15 – Chewing Gum Day

The 14th is all about honoring the friends and partners we’ll choose again and again. The 15th – all about the candy we CHEWS again and again – chewing gum!
It IS a holiday so how about something extra special that you haven’t tried before like nostalgic spicy Clove Gum or anise flavored Black Jack Gum. If floral flavor is more your thing than try retro candy classic, Choward’s Scented Gum.
February 16 – Almond Day
For those still sticking to their new year’s resolutions, Almond day is a the perfect holiday as you can celebrate with better-for-you OR indulgent options.
Health conscious can keep their celebrations traditional with Blue Diamond Salted Roasted Almonds. For a sweeter, more indulgent celebration, try Nassau Candy’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Almonds.
OR you can pull out all the stops and break out the fine China to munch on Urbani Black Truffle Almonds, roasted almonds sprinkled with black truffle infused salt.

February 25 – Chocolate Covered Peanuts Day

On the 25th, focus your chocolate lovers month celebration on chocolate covered peanuts. Creamy, crunchy, sweet and salty, there’s a reason chocolate covered peanuts are a longtime candy classic.
Crank your love of chocolate covered peanuts into overdrive with Nassau Candy Milk Chocolate Caramel Peanut Clusters. Clusters of peanuts coated in gooey, buttery caramel and then drenched in milk chocolate create the ultimate in sweet and salty indulgence.
February 26 – Pistachio Day
By the end of February, we’re all craving a little green. What better time to honor everyone’s favorite green nut the pistachio!
During the midday slump, opt to celebrate with a sweeter nut mix like Shale’s Pomegranate Flavored Pistachio Mix, featuring a blend of pistachios, almonds, cherries, and pomegranate.
Late night it’s all about the savory, breaking out the Parm Crisps Snack Mix, pairing popular pistachios with almonds cashews and crunchy Parm Crisps made with real parmesan cheese.

February 27 – Strawberry Day

You might be questions why a fruit synonymous with summer would be celebrated in the dead of winter. Maybe the people deciding on holidays were craving warmer weather?
Good thing there’s a lot of confections that bring the authentic flavor of just picked summer strawberries, like Wiley Wallaby Organic Strawberry Licorice Bites made with real strawberry and other fruit juices.
A celebration wouldn’t be a celebration without fireworks. While that can get pricy for a one day celebration, you CAN have an explosion of strawberry flavor in your mouth with retro candy classic Pop Rocks Strawberry.
Holidays are a fun way to banish the winter blues. Food and candy holidays are extra fun as there’s little prep or shopping required to get in on the celebration. Just check your pantry or fridge.
