The New Year’s ball might have dropped, but the party doesn’t have to stop! Keep the festivities going by joining in on January’s food holidays.

This January we’ve resolved to pace ourselves, so we’ve outlined our favorite days and some ways to celebrate.

January 3 – Chocolate Covered Cherry Day

This is the day to CHERRY-ish the classic combination of chocolate and cherry. Traditionalists will opt for Nassau Candy’s Chocolate Stem Cherries. Why not mix things up with Big Cherry, the retro candy classic where a whole, real cherry, is surrounded with melty cherry cream and then encased in delectable milk chocolate?

To stick to that resolution but still get in on chocolate covered cherry fun, there’s KIND® Dark Chocolate Cashew Cherry.

January 8 – English Toffee Day

If you’re really stuck on sweet, sticky buttery crunchy candy. Then make sure to mark National English Toffee Day on your calendar. Better score yourselves some Hershey’s Skor Bars, or for an extra burst of salt, Nassau Candy Milk Chocolatey Coated Toffee Premier Pretzels.

January 9 – Apricot Day

Time to multitask! Keep your resolution while keeping the party going with National Apricot Day. Apricots are great on their own, but even better as preserves from Bonne Maman. Add some extra care and calm to the celebration with non-edible Jasön Apricot Scrubbable Face Wash.

January 10 – Bittersweet Chocolate Day

February might be for lovers, but for chocolate lovers it’s all about January’s Bittersweet Chocolate Day. Italy is known for romance so make it extra rich with Italy’s popular Perugina Bittersweet Chocolate 70% Bar.

Nuts about the flavor of sweet almond marzipan? Then get in on January 12th’s National Marzipan Day. You can make it  yourself with Marzipan Almond Candy from Odense, or simply enjoy the dark chocolate covered variety from Nassau Candy.

January 16 – Hot & Spicy Food Day

January can be pretty chilly. Heat things up with Hot & Spicy Food Day. Guzzling hot sauce from Melinda’s, chomping on Love Corn Habanero Crunchy Corn, or sitting down to a nice bowl of pasta with Vincent’s Original Hot Pasta Sauce. It’s a great way to spice it up during the slower winter months.

Perk up mid-month with Gourmet Coffee Day. Time to go out and enjoy a cup with friends or cozy up at home. For something special, opt for some of Italy’s finest coffee like illy or Lavazza.

January 20 –  Buttercrunch Day

If you simply can’t get enough of toffee, try its sweet and nutty American cousin, the buttercrunch on National Buttercrunch day. For an extra crunchy experience, there’s Nassau Candy Buttercrunch topped with chopped almond pieces.  For a smoother snacking ride, enjoy Nassau Candy Fine Buttercrunch, coated in finely chopped almonds.

You’ve stuck to your resolutions ALL month — time to enjoy the that popular spread that sticks to the roof of your mouth. Peanut butter! One of our favorite ways to celebrate is with Nassau Candy Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Premiere Pretzels. You also can’t go wrong with anything Reese’s.

Holidays are a fun break from the norm. Food and candy holidays are extra fun as there’s little prep or shopping required to get in on the celebration. Just check your pantry or fridge.

The party’s just getting started!
